十一位教師、八位研究生及兩位校友代表香港中文大學新聞與傳播學院參與於2015年5月21日至25日舉行的國際傳播學會(ICA)波多黎各會議。本年度的會議題目為 「Communication Across the Life Span」。本院師生共發表了二十四篇獨立撰寫或合著的論文並主持三個小組討論環節。為慶祝學院五十周年，學院聯同國際中華傳播學會及中國傳媒大學於2015年5月23日晚假加勒比希爾頓飯店舉行聯合酒會。超過一百位來自世界各地的傳播學學者參與出席當晚活動。

To commemorate the 50th Golden Jubilee of School of Journalism and Communication of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, an international conference “Comparative Communication Research: Reviews, Showcases, and Theoretical Advancements” is organized to bring together prominent scholars who have been engaging in comparative research in media and communication studies to discuss the current state of the art as well as future challenges and development of comparative communication research, especially amidst rapid social, political, and technological changes. The conference will also showcase significant comparative studies worldwide while putting emphasis on the research in Greater China and East Asia region.

香港中文大學新聞與傳播學院將於2015年初推出第八屆傳播學訪問學者計劃，由學院於2012年成立的「中華傳媒與比較傳播研究中心」（C研中心）主辦，此次訪問研究主題為「數位時代的傳播教育：問題與挑戰」。今屆共有十位學者獲邀參加工作坊、十一位學者獲邀參加圓桌討論，訪問期間的生活費用將由學院提供。
