|
Date: |
29 – 30 January 2021 |
Venue: |
Zoom |
Details: |
The theme for the 2021 workshop is “Digital Media as Data and Methods”. The fast development of digital media in the past 30 years has introduced new research questions and provided new data sources for social science research. Facing the opportunities and challenges, the emergence of computational social science has made a lot of contributions including research design, data processing, and modeling. Meanwhile, some qualitative related approaches, such as digital ethnography, critical algorithm studies, have been widely used in humanities and social sciences. Given this background, this workshop invites any empirical and innovative studies using digital media data and/or digital methods. |
